There will be two masses for Ash Wednesday on Feb. 10. Our first mass will be our regularly-scheduled 11:30 a.m. mass. The second mass will be at 7:30 pm.
Just a reminder that Ash Wednesday is a day of fast (people 18-59, unless prevented by poor health – one full meal is allowed; and abstinence (no meat – 14 and up). In the Archdiocese the consumption of meat is not allowed on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and all Fridays in Lent.
Also, to help you with your Lenten journey, on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the parish, Fr. Normand Bonneau, OMI will be speaking on the origins of Lent and the theme of Lent according to Vatican 11. His presentation will also include discussing the Lenten readings in the Sunday Lectionary. He will focus on why these readings are selected and why they are placed where they are in the lectionary. All are welcome to attend.
