Liturgy of the Hours During the Triduum

You are invited to join us for the celebration of a few of the hours of the Divine Office (a.k.a. Liturgy of the Hours or Breviary) during the Triduum. This initiative, along with a weekly celebration of Evening Prayer during the rest of the year, began over three decades ago at Holy Cross Parish. It migrated to Saint Margaret Mary Parish and now is continued here at Holy Canadian Martyrs Parish. With the Covid pandemic, the weekly Evening Prayer and the Triduum Divine Office were moved online, where they presently still find a home.
You are invited to join us for the following hours:
Holy Thursday Night at 9:30
Good Friday Morning at 9:00
Good Friday Night at 9:00
Holy Saturday Morning 9:00
Holy Saturday Evening 6:00
Easter Sunday Morning 8:30
Eater Sunday Evening 6:00
We gather via Zoom – here is the contact information:
Meeting ID: 488 236 684; Passcode: 305049
We use the Morning and Evening Prayer formats suggested in the Catholic Book of Worship (CBW) III (Section 14), and the hymns/psalms are also mostly taken from the CBW III. If you do not have one at home, please contact  the parish office to get one on loan.

To continue this wonderful initiative, our 507 Sandwich Club needs funding. Centre 507 has seen an unforeseen rise in their numbers and therefore cannot continue to help fund this parish initiative through their grants from the City of Ottawa. Therefore, we are looking to secure a corporate sponsor to help purchase the groceries to enable us to continue making sandwiches in 2024 and beyond. Many thanks to our parishioners who continue to donate to help feed our neighbours. For more information, please email cmpsandwich507@gmail.com.
