A CALL TO PEACE IN GAZA: AN ADVENT DISCUSSION

Join Development and Peace for a special Advent gathering focused on Gaza and the Call to Peace. They will be joined by two very special guests: Cardinal Pizzabella, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and Anton Asfar, the secretary general of Caritas Jerusalem.
Come and hear about the work they are doing and join your voice to the voice for peace on Saturday, December 16 at 12pm. Register here.

LET’S STAND FOR THE LAND

Development and Peace is responding to the call to raise awareness of the tragic plight of two communities in Honduras. They stand with them as they defend their right to water for survival and struggle to obtain justice, reparations and protection, the cancellation of irregularly granted mining permits and the restoration of their national park. Stand in solidarity and sign the letter to the Honduran ambassador to Canada at devp.org/act or on the D&P table at the back of the church.

GAZA NEEDS YOU NOW!

With the Israel-Palestine conflict having already killed over 11,000 people, including 4,500+ children, and displaced about 1.6 million in Gaza, Development and Peace – Caritas Canada is asking the Canadian government to call for an immediate ceasefire and a secure humanitarian corridor. You can help by writing to your MP to support this demand and by donating to help Development and Peace’s partners serve wounded, bereaved, displaced and besieged people.
