Youth Group at Canadian Martyrs last night was liv Youth Group at Canadian Martyrs last night was lively, reflective, prayerful, and of course, pizza-ful! We learned about the Visitation, prayed the Magnificat, talked about turning to Mother Mary for her intercession in troubling times, and then watched a short video about Our Lady of Hope and her intercession in the Franco-Prussian war. We prayed a decade of the rosary, praying for peace, and reminded each other to be hopeful, loving and supportive of one another, especially when times are dark.

Our Lady of Hope, pray for us!

If you are a Young Adult, please join us TONIGHT at 7pm! Saturday Mass at 5pm, then Pizza Night at 6pm, and Young Adult Group at 7pm. Hope to see you there!

Love and Giving: Jesus teaches love for others, which Santa mirrors in his gift-giving. Hope and Joy: The story of the nativity is hope and joy for the world, Santa brings hope and joy to children. Santa Claus’ story reminds us of Jesus as the ultimate gift, connecting the festive spirit of giving with Christian teachings.

Cookies and hot chocolate rounded out the festivities. Overall, a great start to our Advent season!
Thank you to Mrs Kononenko, and to our Youth Group members and leaders, for making this such a beautiful and memorable time for our parish family ♥️

Thank you, Rosemarie Hoey, for sharing your depth Thank you, Rosemarie Hoey, for sharing your depth of knowledge on the history of our parish and our beautiful stained glass window.

With its exquisite details and craftsmanship, our sanctuary window is too often overlooked. Depicting the Blessed Virgin Mary and the child Jesus, surrounded by the eight Canadian Martyrs, this window is a priceless treasure. Did you know that it was crafted in 1954 by Theo Lubbers, who was considered one of the last European masters of stained glass?
